Job Summary 
tgin® is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EDI Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role involves managing and processing orders, reviewing incoming EDI orders for accuracy, and ensuring timely and effective communication with customers. You will be the key point of contact for retail customers, responsible for addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and providing updates on order status and shipping issues. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

EDI & Order Processing 

  • Review incoming EDI orders for accuracy (e.g., quantity, price, and addresses) against purchase orders (POs). 

  • Manually enter non-EDI orders received via email into the ERP system. 

  • Verify inventory levels and adjust orders accordingly for out-of-stock items. 

  • Send order confirmations and notify customers of any changes or shortages. 

  • Generate and send order picking tickets to the 3PL for processing. 

  • Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions, ensuring smooth integration between internal systems and the 3PL. 

  • Assist customers with onboarding and setup of EDI transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and shipping notices. 

Customer Support & Issue Resolution 

  • Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries regarding orders, shipments, and operational issues. 

  • Respond to customer questions and complaints in a professional and timely manner. 

  • Investigate retailer claims, process returns (RMA), and issue credits as needed. 

  • Provide customers with shipping updates, advance shipping notices (ASNs), and any relevant order status information. 

  • Collaborate with internal teams (IT, sales, finance, and operations) to resolve customer concerns efficiently. 

  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and transactions. 

Data Integrity & Compliance 

  • Analyze EDI reports to identify trends, errors, and areas for improvement. 

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies related to electronic transactions. 

  • Work with EDI developers and trading partners to implement new integrations or process improvements. 

  • Maintain thorough documentation of EDI transactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills and Abilities: 

  • Organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues in a timely manner. 

Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree preferred). 

  • 1-3 years of experience in customer service, order management, or a related field. 

  • Proficiency with ERP systems (experience with NetSuite preferred). 

  • Familiarity with EDI processes and customer-facing communication. 


Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
